This evidence-based initiative is designed to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect by teaching families positive parenting techniques. The program targets families at risk and provides structured lessons tailored to different age groups, from infants to school-age children. It focuses on promoting nurturing behaviors, empathy, self-esteem, and effective communication. Through engaging activities and practical guidance, the program helps parents develop the skills to foster a healthy family dynamic and ensure their children grow up in a supportive environment.

Parenting after Violence

This class series is aimed at supporting parents who have experienced violence in their lives, helping them create a nurturing and safe environment for their children. It covers the effects of violence on family dynamics and child development, providing trauma-informed parenting strategies that foster healing and resilience. Parents will learn how to communicate effectively with their children, rebuild trust, and promote emotional well-being. The goal is to empower parents to create a stable foundation for their children by rebuilding healthy, supportive relationships.

Parenting for Dads

This evidence-informed initiative focuses on engaging fathers in responsible parenting by providing them with the necessary skills to promote healthy relationships within the family. Through a skill-based structure, the program helps fathers understand their critical role in parenting, focusing on positive discipline, effective communication, and accountability. It offers specific support to non-custodial fathers and father figures, helping them rebuild connections with their children, practice positive discipline, and transition into co-parenting roles. This program aims to strengthen family bonds and encourage responsible fatherhood.

Father Factor 101

Father Factor 101 is an engaging, evidence-based educational program designed to address the absence of fathers in children’s lives. Through an 8-session course, the program teaches fathers how to actively participate in their children’s lives and promotes responsible fatherhood. It incorporates core instructional strategies, including the 7-habits of the 24/7 Dad model, which focuses on positive engagement, communication, and nurturing. This initiative helps fathers understand the significance of their role and empowers them to build strong, lasting relationships with their children, enhancing family stability.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Workshop

The ACEs workshop aims to educate participants about the long-term impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences on an individual’s health and well-being. It covers the connection between early trauma and later life outcomes, emphasizing the importance of understanding how ACEs affect both physical and emotional health. This workshop teaches prevention strategies and provides practical tools for intervention and building resilience in individuals affected by ACEs. By equipping participants with knowledge, it empowers them to support others in overcoming trauma and fostering healing and positive development.

Teaching Children to Resolve Conflict

This training is designed to equip educators, parents, and caregivers with the skills necessary to help children resolve day-to-day conflicts constructively. It focuses on teaching children how to navigate disagreements in a positive, assertive manner while fostering empathy and problem-solving abilities. Family Violence Prevention (12 weeks)

This comprehensive 12-week class equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, prevent, and respond to family violence. The course covers the dynamics of family violence, recognizing the signs of abuse, and learning effective intervention strategies. Participants will explore the impact of family violence on individuals and communities, gaining insight into available resources and support services. Mindfulness Magic

Mindfulness Magic is a workshop focused on teaching mindfulness techniques to promote relaxation and emotional well-being. The workshop introduces calming practices that help individuals stay present in the moment and cultivate a sense of inner peace. Trauma-Informed Care-giving
